Description
Tank multifunction for home printing with USB connection
HP Smart Tank 520 prints, copies and scans in A4 format. It prints 12 ppm black and white and 5 ppm colour according to ISO, and can print photos borderless. It connects to the computer with a USB 2.0 cable – it has no Wi-Fi or network port. Instead of cartridges it is refilled from bottles; the manufacturer recommends it for 400–800 pages per month.

Button controls
To the left of the scanner lid is a small display (1") and buttons for copying and other functions. The smart buttons light up depending on what needs to be done.
A4 flatbed scanner
Under the lid is the scanner glass for originals up to 216 × 297 mm with an optical resolution of 1,200 dpi. You can scan to PDF or image files, and copy in colour or black and white.
Ink and operation
The printer uses original HP bottles: black HP GT53XL 1VV21AE 135 ml for approx. 6,000 pages and colour HP GT52 for approx. 8,000 pages: cyan M0H54AE, magenta M0H55AE and yellow M0H56AE. Two replaceable print heads – black and tri-colour – which are included in the package, do the printing.
