Description
Budget-friendly desktop label printer – successor to the Zebra GC420d
The Zebra ZD220d prints by direct thermal technology – no ribbon, only on thermal-sensitive labels and paper. It prints at 203 dpi at up to 102 mm/s with a print width of 104 mm and connects to a computer via USB. It handles 1D and 2D barcodes, labels, receipts, tags and identification wristbands. The manufacturer recommends it for transport, logistics, retail and healthcare.
What the printer can do
- Direct thermal printing, 203 dpi (8 dots/mm), up to 102 mm/s
- Print width up to 104 mm, media width 25.4–112 mm, label length up to 991 mm
- Rolls with an outer diameter of up to 127 mm, core 12.7 and 25.4 mm (with adapters up to 76.2 mm)
- Roll and fan-fold media, with gap or black mark, tags, receipts, wristbands
- ZPL II, EPL 2 and XML languages; 256 MB flash and 128 MB SDRAM memory

- Two-wall construction, easy OpenACCESS loading, ENERGY STAR
Simple operation
The printer is operated with a single feed and pause button, and its status is shown by one LED indicator. Installation via USB is quick and the printer is ready to print straight away. The Print DNA software on the Link-OS Basic platform helps with setup and management.
Media and parts
The printer does not need a ribbon – it uses thermal-sensitive labels and receipt paper, both on a roll and fan-folded, in a width of 25.4–112 mm and with a roll diameter of up to 127 mm. From spare parts we offer a platen roller for the ZD220/ZD230. The version with thermal transfer (printing via ribbon) is available as the Zebra ZD220t.
