Description
Compact colour multifunction with fax for home offices and small teams
The Xerox C255a prints, copies, scans and faxes in colour on A4 paper. It prints 25 ppm in both colour and black-and-white (per ISO/IEC 24734), with automatic duplex printing, and delivers the first page in 10.5 s black-and-white / 10.7 s colour. Originals are read by a 50-sheet automatic document feeder. It connects via Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, Gigabit Ethernet and USB, and is operated with a 2.8" touchscreen. The manufacturer recommends up to 2,500 pages per month on average.

Paper and media
The main tray holds 250 sheets of plain paper with a weight of 60–162 g/m² and sizes from 94 × 148 mm to 216 × 356 mm (Legal). The manual feed takes one sheet of heavier paper up to 200 g/m², envelopes or labels. The output tray holds 100 sheets.
Connectivity and fax
The rear has Gigabit Ethernet and a USB type B port; the front has USB for printing and scanning from a flash drive. Wireless connection is via Wi-Fi 802.11ac or Wi-Fi Direct. Received fax documents can be forwarded to e-mail, FTP or a network folder.
Toner and operation
The printer comes with starter toners for 750 pages in black, 500 pages per colour (ISO/IEC 19798). Replacement genuine Xerox toners in standard capacity: black 006R05067 for 1,300 pages, cyan 006R05068, magenta 006R05069 and yellow 006R05070, 1,200 pages each. In high capacity: black 006R05087 for 3,000 pages, cyan 006R05088, magenta 006R05089 and yellow 006R05090, 2,500 pages each. Used toner is collected in the replaceable waste container 008R08165 for 15,000 pages.
