  One of the greatest advantages of this switch is support for PoE according to the IEEE 802.3at/bt standard on every port (4× PoE++ and 12× PoE+) for powering many devices. By default, the UniFi Switch automatically detects 802.3at/bt on the connected device so that the device can automatically receive PoE. The device also features Etherlighting backlit ports that indicate port location, speed/link and native VLAN/network (to achieve optimal brightness, use UniFi Etherlighting cables).

  Configuration and management of UniFi devices is possible with the UniFi Network application, which is pre-installed on UniFi OS consoles (UniFi Dream Machine, Dream Router, Dream Wall, Express, Cloud Gateway Ultra, etc.). An alternative is the freely available UniFi Network Server software, intended for installation on your own computer or server (Windows, macOS, Linux). The UniFi Network Server software is continuously being improved, so we recommend always using the current version, which you can download from the Ubiquiti website in the Download section.
