This purely optical 10-Gigabit switch model TL-SX3008F with web management in a metal chassis for installation in a 19" rack offers silent operation without fans, 8 SFP+ ports with a speed of 10 Gbps and a serial port (via USB or RS-232 using RJ45). The switch represents an affordable network solution for a smaller optical network for medium-sized companies or ISP providers.

Secure network
Our high-quality security features protect against many network threats. These include IP-MAC-Port-VID address binding, port security, Storm Control and DHCP Snooping. The device has a built-in list of typical DoS attacks, making protection against them easier than ever. Access Control List (ACL, L2 to L4) functions restrict access to sensitive parts of the network by rejecting packets based on source and destination MAC address, IP address, TCP/UDP ports or VLAN ID. User access to the network can be controlled through 802.1X authentication, so that access is granted only to users with valid login credentials.

Features designed for enterprise environments
Support for the complete L2+ feature set. Innovative features include 802.1Q VLAN, port mirroring, STP/RSTP/MSTP, Link Aggregation Control Protocol and 802.3x flow control. The advanced IGMP Snooping function ensures that the switch intelligently forwards multicast data streams to the appropriate subscribers, reducing network traffic by data that is not needed. The IGMP Throttling & Filtering function limits subscribers at port level to prevent unauthorized access to multicast data streams. Static routing segments the network so that data traffic flows as efficiently as possible.

Advanced Quality of Service (QoS) technology
Voice and video application data can be assigned higher priority based on IP address, MAC address, TCP port number, UDP port number and other attributes. Thanks to QoS, connections in voice and video applications run without interruption, even when bandwidth is briefly scarce.

ISP features
Internet service providers (ISPs) receive the support they need through features such as sFlow, QinQ, L2PT, PPPoE ID Insertion and IGMP authentication. The 802.3ah OAM function and the Device Link Detection Protocol (DLDP) ensure clear monitoring of Ethernet connections and resolution of any problems throughout the network.

IPv6 support
