To protect against external threats, the TL-R480T+ can automatically detect and block DoS (Denial of Service) attacks, such as TCP/UDP/ICMP flooding, ping of death and other similar threats. This router also has IP/MAC/URL/Web filtering functions that effectively protect against intruder and virus attacks. To further simplify internal network management for administrators, rules for blocking specific websites and IM/P2P applications can be set on the TL-R480T+ with a single click, and employees can be prohibited from using certain specific services, such as FTP, HTTP and SMTP.

Efficient Access Control
When you set up the PPPoE Server so that individual users of the private network each have their own PPPoE accounts, the router allows Internet access only to users with legitimate accounts that have passed authentication. Combined with the ability to assign bandwidth to individual IP addresses, this bandwidth can be reserved for specific PPPoE accounts. Another function is the so-called E-Bulletin, which enables regular sending of a bulletin in the form of a web page to specific user groups, notifying them of the expiration date of their PPPoE account. Using these functions, the router can assign priorities to different users with regard to their Internet access usage, making access control more efficient.

Professional lightning protection technology protects against electrical surges that could penetrate the device and which are therefore safely diverted to ground.
