Omada 10G Multi-Gigabit SFP Media Converter
The MC420L is a media converter designed for conversion between 10GBASE-SR/LR optical fibers, 10GBASE-LRM optical fibers and 10GBASE-T copper media. It easily extends the reach of an existing gigabit network using optical fibers when integrated with an SFP module. The MC420L supports the IEEE 802.3ae 10GBASE-SR/LR 10G Ethernet and IEEE 802.3an 10GBASE-T 10G Ethernet standards, and is intended for use with SFP modules for multimode/single-mode fibers. Long-distance point-to-point links are easily established using gigabit optical converters, which is ideal for network connections between multiple buildings, for remote monitoring and for automated equipment in manufacturing.
The MC420L offers flexible installation on a standalone desk or inserted into a chassis (TP-Link MC1400). Easy-to-see LED indicators on the front panel provide current status information for real-time monitoring of network activity. The maximum optical fiber transmission distance depends on the inserted SFP module.
