The TP-Link Tapo T150 sensor, thanks to its unique combination of 5 sensors in one body (mmWave radar, PIR motion, temperature, humidity and light intensity), is one of the most versatile elements for a smart home.
The TP-Link Tapo T150 smart sensor combines 5 functions in one device and helps you conveniently automate your home or office. It accurately detects the presence and movement of people, monitors temperature, humidity and ambient light intensity, and with a range of up to 6 meters it covers a large part of a room.
Tapo T150 uses smart radar technology that can detect even very subtle micro-movements, such as a slight turn of the head. Paired lights or other devices therefore stay active even when a person is sitting almost motionless.
The sensor lets you set your own detection zones by distance and adjust their sensitivity. You can easily limit unwanted reactions to household pets, a robot vacuum cleaner or a fan, and focus sensing only on the important parts of the room.
The radar technology (24 GHz mmWave radar) continuously adapts to the environment and automatically ignores static objects, such as furniture. In addition to presence and movement, it also monitors temperature, humidity and ambient light level, so one sensor replaces the work of several separate devices.
The sensor can be mounted on a wall, in a corner or on a ceiling using a screw, adhesive pad or magnetic base. Two AAA/LR03 batteries provide operation for up to 3 years, so you do not have to consider proximity to a power socket when choosing the location.
Thanks to its IP55 ingress protection rating, the sensor resists splashing water and is also suitable for humid environments, such as a bathroom. It can thus extend smart home automation to places where ordinary sensors may not be suitable.
Support for the Matter standard ensures wide connectivity options with a smart home. Tapo T150 works with the Apple Home, Alexa, Google Home, Samsung SmartThings and IFTTT platforms.
Using Tapo Smart Actions, you can easily connect the sensor with other Tapo devices. This lets you create automatic scenes based on the presence of people, movement or current conditions in the room, and adapt the operation of your smart home to everyday needs.
