New generation fire detector with a breakthrough dual-spectrum dust-resistant optical chamber and SIC technology for temporarily silencing the alarm using an IR remote control. The SAFE 10Y30 - BASIC fire alarm features a whole range of new technologies, including SIC for remotely silencing the alarm with an IR remote control.
The fire alarm meets all the requirements of the standard ČSN EN 14604:2009 for installations under Decree 268/2011 Coll. (formerly No. 23/2008 Coll.) on technical requirements for fire protection of buildings, which stipulates that every new building and every defined construction object must be equipped with an autonomous detection and alarm device, and offers an electronic version of the Declaration of Performance required for the occupancy permit procedure.

Unique dual-spectrum smoke chamber technology
A dual-spectrum optical sensor with blue and infrared LED sources of different wavelengths has been integrated into a smoke detection chamber resistant to dust and insects. The chamber design, directly coupled to the AI SAFE microprocessor, offers the most reliable detection method which, in combination with a predictive algorithm, enables measurement of the concentration of microparticles directly in the air and in real time. This unique technology can determine the size of volatile particles inside the optical chamber and respond only to a real threat in the form of smoke, while ignoring similar compositions of water vapour or other fumes.
 
Responds only to real threats
In fire detection systems for residential buildings, the priority is to promptly inform people of an imminent real danger. The AI SAFE microprocessor was developed on the basis of a detailed analysis of the combustion properties of materials and works with a predictive algorithm that compares data from the dual-spectrum optical sensor and filters the potential for false alarms in real time. If the recorded data correspond to liquid particles of water vapour or other types of fumes, the alarm will not respond. However, if the dynamics of the data pattern correspond to the actual parameters of solid smoke particles from a fire, the alarm immediately triggers a fire alarm.
 
Fire alarm signalling
If the smoke concentration reaches the specified value during detection, the detector automatically sounds a loud acoustic alarm signal of 85 dB, accompanied by a flashing red LED indicator to signal the fire alarm.
 
 
SIC technology and remote alarm silencing with an IR remote control
The detector has a combined button with a TEST and HUSH function, which is intended both for testing and verifying correct operation of the device and for temporarily silencing the alarm. If you know the cause of the fire alarm activation and the loud acoustic siren signal needs to be silenced, there is no need to make any complicated effort to reach the detector in order to silence it with the button. SIC technology allows you to silence the acoustic signal remotely by pressing any button on a standard IR remote control (most remote controls for household appliances, for example for a TV).
 
No false alarms
The electronic components and the printed circuit board of the detector are coated with an insulating and protective varnish layer with IZOVAX nanoparticles, and thanks to the innovative dual-spectrum optical sensing chamber, which can distinguish smoke particles from water vapour, the device can, unlike conventional fire detectors, be installed even in very humid environments (near bathrooms, drying rooms, kitchens or technical rooms).
 
 
Guaranteed operating performance for a full decade
Power is supplied by an integrated 3 V lithium battery (built-in, non-replaceable) guaranteeing an exceptionally long operating life of the detector of more than 10 years. Battery operation allows quick and easy installation and ensures proper functioning of the smoke and fire alarm for more than 10 years from activation. The power battery is activated once the detector is placed and fixed in the mounting bracket. After 10 years of protection, and 30 days in advance, the detector will report the end of its service life and automatically warn that it needs to be replaced. The extended 7-year warranty applies to both the battery and the device itself.
 
Approvals
The SAFE 10Y30 - BASIC fire alarm uses modern photoelectric (optical) technology through a dual-spectrum sensing chamber and was independently tested by the accredited German laboratory TÜV as complying with all European standards. A CE certificate and approval under ČSN EN 14604:2009 for installations under Decree No. 268/2011 Coll. (formerly No. 23/2008 Coll.) on technical requirements for fire protection of buildings, which stipulates that every new building and every defined construction object must be equipped with an autonomous detection and alarm device, are naturally included.
