Small, yet powerful
Door Guard Plus is a sophisticated security device consisting of two key components: a detector with an integrated, highly reliable reed relay capable of withstanding an incredible 2 million opening cycles, and a strong permanent magnet. The detector is simply installed on the movable part of a window or door, while the magnet is fixed to the fixed frame. The principle of operation is based on the magnetic field – as soon as the magnet moves away from the detector, the reed switch is activated. In addition to the reed switch, it also contains a three-axis accelerometer for detecting shocks and changes in angle.
Plus in the form of an accelerometer
This advanced detector is equipped with an accelerometer that can recognize changes in vertical tilt angle, shocks or vibrations. Thanks to this, it not only reliably protects windows left open for ventilation, but can also detect vibrations or impacts that may signal an attempt at forced entry or tampering with the magnetic contact. Door Guard Plus, however, offers much broader use. In addition to monitoring the open or closed state of doors and windows, it can also be used to monitor movement or changes in position of other objects, such as paintings, safes or other valuables. When the sensor is triggered, an alarm signal is immediately sent to the central unit of the SAFE security system, which then alerts the user to possible danger.
The foundation of your automation
The universal Door Guard magnetic contact reliably detects the opening or closing of windows and doors, immediately informing the user of the change in status via the ProSAFE mobile app on the phone. However, this smart element offers much more than just security functions – it becomes a key component of automation and the smart home. For example, when the entrance door is opened, it can automatically turn on the interior lights or trigger another preset scenario that matches your needs.
Supports system expandability
Door Guard Plus is also equipped with an NC input on the rear side, which is used to connect an external wired detector. This input allows easy integration of additional security elements, including devices from third-party manufacturers. These may include, for example, a detector of flammable or explosive gases, an armored contact for opening and closing garage doors, a flood detector, a wired magnetic contact or another sensor operating on the normally closed circuit principle. Thanks to this function, the flexibility is significantly increased and the modular options of the entire SAFE security system are expanded.
