Door Guard is a sophisticated security device consisting of two key components: a detector with an integrated, highly reliable reed relay that can withstand up to an incredible 2 million opening cycles, and a strong permanent magnet. The detector is simply installed on the movable part of a window or door, while the magnet is mounted on the fixed frame. The principle of operation is based on the magnetic field – as soon as the magnet moves away from the detector, the reed switch is activated. Door Guard immediately sends an alarm signal to the central unit of the SAFE security system and instantly alerts the user to the threat.
Supports system expandability
Door Guard is additionally equipped with an NC input on the rear side, which is used to connect an external wired detector. This input allows easy integration of other security elements, including devices from third-party manufacturers. Examples include a detector of flammable or explosive gases, an armored contact for opening and closing garage doors, a flood detector, a wired magnetic contact, or another sensor operating on the normally closed circuit principle. Thanks to this feature, flexibility is significantly increased and the modular options of the entire SAFE security system are expanded.
The foundation of your automation
The universal Door Guard magnetic contact reliably detects the opening or closing of windows and doors and immediately informs the user of the change of status via the ProSAFE mobile app on the phone. However, this smart element offers much more than just security functions – it becomes a key part of automation and the smart home. For example, when the entrance door is opened, it can automatically turn on the interior lights or trigger another preset scenario that suits your needs.
Easy installation and convenient setup
Both parts of the wireless opening detector can be easily and quickly attached to the surface using the special double-sided adhesive tape (included in the package), or, if a security level 2 is required, both parts can be fastened with screws and the enclosed mounting material. The detector is also equipped with a Tamper function, which protects the device against sabotage or unauthorized manipulation. Adding the detector to the system is extremely simple thanks to the ProSAFE app – just scan the device's unique QR code and then set the required functions. Within a few moments everything is ready and your device can start operating reliably.
