NiSi Filter ND-VARIO 1–5 Stops True Color
The NiSi ND-VARIO 1–5 Stops True Color is a variable neutral density filter that allows exposure reduction in the range of 1 to 5 EV. The density (ND factor) is adjusted continuously by rotating the front ring of the filter, either with or without the supplied silver lever. The filter has fixed stops at the end positions, so you always know where you are while working.
For easy and repeatable density setting, the ring is marked with numbers corresponding to the individual exposure steps. The side knurling with a silver finish provides a firm grip and easy handling when fitting and removing the filter. When used with film or video cameras, the combination of aperture and filter adjustment allows fine control of depth of field while maintaining the chosen frame rate.
The filter is very useful for both photography and video, as it allows precise control of the amount of light entering the lens according to the given scene. This makes it possible to use larger apertures and/or longer exposure times than would otherwise be possible under the given lighting conditions.
An advanced nano layer repels water, grease and dust and makes cleaning easier. The thin ring eliminates the risk of vignetting when used on wide-angle lenses. The ring is made of high-quality aluminium, which ensures lightness and strength.
The package includes a front cap and a practical pouch for safe storage of the filter.
For best results, the use of a variable ND filter is recommended on lenses with a focal length of 35 mm and above (full frame).
