Gigabit miniGBIC (SFP) module 1000Base-T, converts an SFP port to a standard metal 1000Mbps RJ-45 port (or 10/100Mbps).
Cisco, Dell, Planet compatible. Equivalent to Cisco GLC-T
The miniGBIC is intended for a gigabit network, so both the SFP slot in the switch and the counterpart must operate at 1Gbit speed. If the switch supports serial gigabit media-independent interface (SGMII), the miniGBIC may also work at 100Mbit speed. Such switches include some Juniper models and most Cisco switches. In Planet, Dahua, Huawei, Dlink, Zyxel, H3C and others, GBICs work only at 1Gbit
