TP-Link MERCUSYS MR78X AX2700 WiFi router delivers fast WiFi 6 connectivity with a combined speed of up to 2.7 Gb/s for streaming, gaming, work and everyday internet use.
TP-Link MERCUSYS MR78X uses the WiFi 6 standard and offers speeds of up to 2402 Mb/s in the 5 GHz band for high-definition streaming, gaming or fast downloads. The 2.4 GHz band provides speeds of up to 300 Mb/s and is suitable for ordinary web browsing and connecting smart home devices. OFDMA and MU MIMO technologies increase network efficiency while multiple devices are connected at the same time. The wireless speed enables smooth 4K streaming, fast transfers of large files and VR entertainment.
Four external antennas together with Beamforming technology help direct the wireless signal to connected devices and improve coverage throughout the home. EasyMesh support allows the router to be linked with other compatible devices to create a unified mesh network with a single WiFi name and password. The Smart Connect function also automatically selects the appropriate frequency band for individual devices.
For wired connections, the router offers 1× gigabit WAN port and 3× gigabit LAN ports, which can be used for example for computers, televisions or gaming consoles. The router supports a VPN client and server with WireGuard, OpenVPN, L2TP/IPSec and PPTP protocols. Home network security is complemented by WPA3, SPI firewall, access control and IP and MAC address binding.

EasyMesh-compatible products can be connected into a network with other devices that use EasyMesh. Malfunctions may be caused by firmware conflicts from different manufacturers. EasyMesh compatibility functionality is still being developed for some models and will be supported in future software updates.
