Description
The Orlando pool is designed for year-round use. After the swimming season it does not need to be dismantled and cleaned away; it is enough to winterise it properly and, the following year before the swimming season, de-winterise it and start using it again. By leaving it in the garden outside the swimming season, you save time, money on water and, above all, the water itself. When winterised outdoors, more than 80 % of the water remains in the pool and can be reused repeatedly in the next season. This is an eco-friendly way of winterising a pool.
Another advantage of the Orlando pool is its stable and sturdy construction, galvanised pool wall, wide water surface and easy setup. Simply prepare a place for the pool, unroll the pool groundsheet, unpack and assemble the pool. You can start filling it with water within 120 minutes of unpacking. The pool walls are made of steel sheet with anti-corrosion treatment, and the pool liner is frost-resistant. We recommend covering the pool with a cover sheet after swimming. The pool liner is replaceable — if the pool is damaged, you can buy it as a spare part.
Swimming in your own large pool is something everyone can enjoy.
Pool liner:
Pool liner made of plasticised PVC. High-quality workmanship ensures long-term trouble-free use of the pool.
- wall thickness: 0.225 mm / floor thickness: 0.225 mm
- inner liner pattern = blue
- outer liner pattern = grey
Advantages of Orlando pools
Durability
The Orlando pool consists of a liner stretched over sturdy steel panels. This makes it highly stable and at the same time resistant to mechanical damage.
Possibility of sinking
If the expert instructions for preparing the site are followed, the pool can be partially or fully sunk into the ground. This creates the impression of a well-kept garden without disturbing the terrain.
Year-round solution
Due to the construction features, the pool remains in the garden all year round. In winter, the water is only partially drained, the accessories are disconnected, and the pool is winterised using pool disinfection products.
Saving money and water
Winterising the pool outdoors saves water resources and at the same time reduces water and sewage charges. Properly treated pool water lasts until the next swimming season, and the pool does not need to be completely refilled.
Connecting filtration:
You can connect either cartridge or sand filtration to the pool. Wall fittings are prepared for connecting the filtration, to which an Olympic skimmer and a 32 mm (5/4") hose are attached. For better and faster filtration we recommend buying sand filtration.
Contents of the Orlando pool package: - Orlando pool (grey steel wall, liner and rails)
- instructions
- small installation materials needed to set up the pool (rails, couplings, etc.)
- Olympic skimmer
Other accessories (ladder, groundsheet, cover sheet) must be purchased separately.
The pool is suitable for use with salt water; a salt chlorinator can be connected to it (provided the filtration has sufficient capacity for the given chlorinator).
The pool assembly instructions also include accessories that are not in the package and must be purchased separately.
Pool dimension tolerances:
The stated pool dimensions are approximate only and may be affected by the evenness of the base or the volume of water filled. The permitted manufacturing deviation is 5 %.
Sinking the Orlando pool:
The Orlando pool can be partially or fully sunk into the ground. For its comfortable and safe use, all construction recommendations and sinking measures must be observed. The pool must stand on undisturbed ground, not on backfill. Before sinking, the groundwater level at the construction site must be checked and eliminated. We recommend restricting access to the pool so that it does not pose a danger to children or animals. When sinking, it is also important to consider the placement of the filtration and other accessories.
Storage of the Orlando pool:
Orlando pools do not need to be dismantled outside the swimming season; they can remain set up all year round. After the swimming season, however, the pool must be winterised: drain the water so that its level is roughly 10 cm below the skimmer, and close the return nozzle with a plug. Disconnect the filtration and other accessories and add chemical winterising products to the pool. If you cannot disconnect the hoses, lower the water level to 10 cm below the return nozzle. Then drain the water from the hoses so that frost does not damage them through expanding ice.
We strongly advise against draining the entire pool and removing the pool liner from the pool structure. The pool could collapse and may be damaged.
