This kit contains the tools needed to locate and trace wires in common electrical installation systems. (probe, generator)
This premium tone generator has ABN (Angled Bed of Nails) clips that grip the wire well and securely.
The tone generator emits five different tones. The RJ11 plug connects easily to RJ45 telephone or data connectors.
The tone generator also checks continuity and polarity, indicated by clearly labelled LEDs.
The probe tracks the tone signal. A speaker with adjustable volume amplifies the tone. The 3.5 mm connector allows headphones (sold separately) to be connected in noisy environments.
The probe has a visible, non-metallic, replaceable tip. The probe allows testing in distribution blocks (terminal blocks) without interrupting or disconnecting them.
The probe contains a work light at the probe tip for use in dark spaces.
The probe also has a terminal block for confirming the traced pair.
Each tool (probe + generator) uses 4 x AAA batteries.
The package also includes a dedicated padded zippered bag for convenient storage.
