Frequently asked questions

How do I find the right adapter for my laptop?
Copy the output voltage and current from the label of the original adapter (for example 19.5 V, 3.34 A, 65 W) and measure the plug, or send us the exact laptop model. The voltage must match; the current and wattage must be the same or higher. For replacement adapters we state the compatible models and plug size.
Can I charge the laptop over USB-C instead of the original adapter?
Yes, if the laptop has a USB-C port that supports charging (Power Delivery), which the manufacturer states; most laptops from 2018 on do. Choose a charger with at least the wattage of the original adapter; gaming laptops usually still need their original plug. USB-C chargers are in the USB and GaN chargers section.
Will a more powerful adapter damage the laptop?
No. An adapter with the same voltage and higher wattage supplies only as much current as the laptop draws, and runs cooler. The dangerous cases are a different voltage or a weaker adapter that overloads and charges the laptop slowly or not at all. Laptops with adapter detection (a smart pin) need a replacement made for that brand.
