AA, AAA & coin cells

Batteries for remotes, toys, cameras and sensors: alkaline and zinc-carbon AA, AAA, C and 9V cells, CR2 and CR123A lithium photo batteries, CR2032 coin cells and rechargeable Ni-MH cells. For high-drain devices, lithium or rechargeable cells with a charger pay off. Filter by size, chemistry, capacity in mAh and pack quantity; choose from GP Batteries, Panasonic, Philips, Energizer or Camelion.

Frequently asked questions

Alkaline or lithium batteries?
Alkaline batteries are for everyday electronics: remotes, clocks, toys, torches. Lithium cells (such as AA Lithium) last several times longer, tolerate frost and do not leak, which suits trail cameras, outdoor sensors and high-drain devices. Zinc-carbon batteries we recommend only for devices with minimal consumption.
How do I know which coin cell I need?
The code is stamped on the old cell, for example CR2032: CR means a 3 V lithium cell, 20 is the diameter of 20 mm and 32 the thickness of 3.2 mm. LR44 and SR44 (1.5 V, alkaline and silver oxide) are interchangeable; CR2032 and CR2025 differ only in thickness and the thinner one often sits loosely in the holder. For watches and medical devices choose a silver-oxide (SR) cell.
How long can batteries be stored?
Alkaline batteries keep for 5 to 10 years, lithium for 10 to 20; the use-by date is on the pack. Store them at room temperature, dry and in the original packaging, not in the fridge. Remove batteries from a device you will not use for a long time: a leaking cell damages the contacts.
